The U-shaped silicone seal is a practical solution to prevent unwanted air from entering the abutting edges of L- and U-shaped chimney panes.
The silicone seal keeps the window clean and prevents “wrong air” from being drawn in.
This seal is ideal for 4 mm thick glass ceramic panes and overlaps the glass by approx. 5 mm.
However, it should be noted that the adjustment range of the locking mechanism must be adjusted depending on the fireplace insert.
The seal is resistant up to approx. 350 °C, so it cannot be installed in all fireplaces and stoves. Ideal for fireplaces where combustion temperatures are not too high.
The U-shaped silicone seal is placed on the side of the chimney pane and does not require any additional glue, which enables quick and easy installation.
