With this black fire-resistant sealing cord (glass-fiber knit cord based on E-glass fiber), you can quickly and reliably seal glass-ceramic panels or doors of fireplace or tiled stove inserts.

Please ensure that the fire-resistant sealing cord always remains elastic. Over time, the fire-resistant sealing cord may harden. The stove glass then sits tightly against the stove body or door frame and can no longer expand due to temperature differences. In the worst case, the glass may crack. In this case, the fire-resistant sealing cord must be replaced.

There can be various reasons for such hardening. Overheating with fill quantities higher than specified in the respective operating instructions, as well as the use of unsuitable and aggressive cleaning agents, can significantly shorten the service life. When cleaning, protect the sealing cords from moisture, or more precisely, from cleaning agents. Do not brush off or clean mechanically in any other way. Do not allow the ash or ember bed to rise so high that the sealing cords are exposed to direct flame.

For gluing the fire-resistant sealing cord to the stove body, our matching sealing cord adhesive is particularly suitable. Please clean the surface beforehand to remove any old sealing cord residue and adhesive. Cut the stove seal to size and then press it into the corresponding groove that has been coated with adhesive. Allow to dry for a few hours, and you can heat safely and worry-free once again.
