With this black fireproof sealing cord (glass braided cord based on E-glass fibre), you can quickly and reliably seal glass ceramic panes or also doors of fireplace or tiled stove inserts

Please ensure that the fireproof sealing cord always remains elastic. Over time, the fireproof, heat-resistant sealing cord may harden. The stove glass then sits tightly against the stove body and can no longer expand due to temperature differences. In the worst case, the pane may crack. In this case, the heat-resistant sealing cord must be replaced.

The reasons for such hardening can vary. Overheating with larger fill quantities than specified in the respective operating instructions, as well as the use of unsuitable and aggressive cleaning agents, can significantly shorten the service life. Protect the sealing cords from moisture and cleaning agents during cleaning. Do not brush off or clean mechanically in any other way. Do not allow the ash or ember bed to rise so high that the sealing cords are exposed to direct flame.

For gluing the fireproof sealing cord to the stove body, our matching sealing cord adhesive or the fireproof high-temperature silicone is particularly suitable. Please clean the surface beforehand of old sealing cord residue and sealing cord adhesive. Cut the stove seal to size and press it into the corresponding groove fitted with adhesive. Allow the stove seal to dry thoroughly for a few hours, and you can heat safely and worry-free again.
