Self-adhesive beige profile sealing cord 18x8mm sealing cord for Schmid fireplaces

Fireproof self-adhesive profile sealing cord, sealing cord 18x8 mm for example for your Schmid fireplace, for clamping/gluing into the fireplace door. This beige fireproof sealing cord is based on E-glass fibre and offers long durability.

Please ensure that the fireproof sealing cord always remains elastic. Over time, the seal may harden. The stove glass then sits tightly against the stove body and can no longer expand due to temperature differences. In the worst case, the glass pane may crack. In this case, the fireproof sealing cord must be replaced in good time.

The seal is designed for clamping into the fireplace door. The adhesive surface is provided for easy installation and not to hold this seal in a specific position. For that, you would need to use the sealing cord adhesive or the high-temperature silicone. As a result, the yellow film covering this adhesive surface does not adhere very firmly and may loosen slightly due to cutting and shipping. If you have ordered a little extra to be able to replace the seal again in 2 years, please press the film back down by hand.

Please also note that the binding components in the adhesive film decompose at approximately 80°C to 100°C.

Cut the stove seal to size and clamp it into the corresponding rail. You can, of course, also glue it if your stove does not have a clamping mechanism.

You can immediately resume heating safely and worry-free.
