Fireproof flat sealing cord, sealing cord 8 × 2 mm for your stove or fireplace, for gluing into stove or fireplace doors or for sealing glass ceramic panes. This black fireproof sealing cord is based on E-glass fibre and is therefore heat-resistant and long-lasting.
This seal is somewhat stiffer than other seals. One reason is that it is manufactured as a glass tube. This sealing tube is compressed, meaning it effectively incorporates a double layer of sealing tape. Ideal for sealing between the frame and glass ceramic pane on wood-burning stoves and fireplace and heating inserts.

Please ensure that the fireproof sealing cord always remains elastic. Over time, the seal may harden. The stove glass then sits tightly against the stove body and can no longer expand due to temperature differences. In the worst case, the pane may crack. In this case, the fireproof sealing cord must be replaced in good time.
The seal is self-adhesive, so you do not need any sealing cord adhesive.
Clean the surface beforehand of any old sealing cord residue and adhesive. Cut the stove seal to size and then press it firmly into place. You can immediately resume heating safely and worry-free.
