Self-adhesive sealing cord, stove, flat, 16x2mm, glass sleeve

Fireproof flat gasket, sealing cord 16 x 2 mm for your stove or fireplace, for gluing into stove or fireplace doors or for sealing glass-ceramic panes. This sealing cord is based on E-glass fiber and is very firmly and sturdily woven. It is designed as a glass tube.

Make sure that the fireproof sealing cord always remains elastic. Over time, the gasket may harden. The stove glass then sits tightly against the stove body and can no longer expand due to temperature differences. In the worst case, the glass may crack. In this case, the fireproof sealing cord must be replaced in good time.

The gasket is self-adhesive, so you do not need any sealing cord adhesive if the gasket is clamped or otherwise secured in place. The self-adhesive property allows you to work more easily and conveniently. In other cases, the sealing cord must be fixed using sealing cord adhesive, as the binding components in the adhesive film decompose at approximately 80 °C to 100 °C.

Clean the surface beforehand of old sealing cord residue and adhesive. Cut the stove gasket to size and then press it into place at the appropriate spot. You can immediately resume heating safely and without concern.
