Air grate, air distributor, 12.5 x 16 cm, cast iron

The universal cast air grate provides additional air supply beneath the wood or the fire. The air distributor is placed directly on the bottom of the firebox. The wood is stacked on top of it and lit afterwards. The air grate ensures that the wood receives more air, for example when lighting it, allowing it to catch fire more quickly. Air reaches the wood directly from below through the air holes.

Cast iron has always been, and remains, the material of choice in stove and fireplace construction. Stove casting is extremely resistant to wear and highly durable due to its compressive strength. Ideally suited for the firebox and necessary built-in components such as fire grates.
