In the oil stove and oil heating insert, burner rings ensure clean combustion. Furthermore, this results in better efficiency and a higher degree of effectiveness during burn-off. Your oil stove will reward you with economical fuel consumption, which is easy on your oil budget. There is also less oil carbon buildup. Without ring(s), your oil stove will soot up much faster.
For many older oil stoves, original spare parts are no longer available. When replacing the burner rings, it is important that the outer diameter fits into the burner pot of your oil heating appliance. The structure of the rings, whether holes are present or not, has little effect on combustion.

It is possible that your burner ring has warped due to the heat, or more precisely, expanded. This can amount to a few millimeters.
