A characteristic feature of glass ceramic panes is their very low expansion under varying temperatures. This is why glass ceramic is installed in stoves or fireplaces, as it withstands large temperature differences.

Please note that when replacing the glass pane on your fireplace, the corresponding seal on the stove glass should also be replaced. A sealing cord wears out over time and is then no longer sufficiently elastic. It can then no longer adapt optimally to the new pane. This minimal wear can lead to leaks, which are accompanied by excessively high flue gas temperatures. Combustion efficiency decreases, and your heating appliance consumes too much fuel. Be sure to order the matching seal at the same time.

Unfortunately, returns of custom-cut fireplace glass panes are not possible.
