Primer, silicate base coat to reduce absorbency, 1 liter

Silicate primer is a primer – a water glass mixture – for absorbent substrates, designed to reduce absorbency .... for indoor and outdoor use.

Ideal for the pre-treatment of calcium silicate fireplace construction panels and for consolidating sanding, mineral render as well as stove plaster or concrete elements.

Coverage: approx. 0.2 l/m² for a single coat (may vary depending on substrate; a second coat may be necessary)

Preparation: The substrate must be firm, clean, air-dry, and load-bearing. Remove any crumbling plaster or paint residues, and thoroughly brush off sanding renders and mineral paint coatings.

Application: Dilute 1:1 with water

Application temperature: between 5 °C and 25 °C air and substrate temperature (avoid direct sunlight)

Setting: physical and chemical

Maximum application temperature: 140 °C

Drying time: at least 24 hours before applying another coat or coating, depending on weather conditions; full effectiveness is reached after approx. 3 days

Container: 1-liter canister

Important information: Clean tools thoroughly with water immediately after use. Protect skin and eyes during application! Cover all stone, glass, and metal surfaces well, especially window panes and stone slabs. Remove any unavoidable splashes or stains immediately, before they dry, using plenty of water.
