Self-adhesive black flat seal 20x2mm, sealing cord

Fireproof flat sealing cord, sealing cord 20 × 2 mm – self-adhesive for your stove or fireplace, for gluing into stove or fireplace doors or for sealing glass-ceramic panes. This grey fireproof sealing cord is based on E-glass fibre and is long-lasting.

Application temperature: up to 450 °C

Please ensure that the fireproof sealing cord always remains elastic. Over time, the seal can harden. The stove glass then sits tightly against the stove body and can no longer expand due to temperature differences. In the worst case, the pane may crack. In this case, the fireproof sealing cord must be replaced in good time.

The seal is self-adhesive, so you do not need any sealing cord adhesive if the seal is clamped or otherwise fixed in place. Thanks to its self-adhesive property, you can work more easily and conveniently. In other cases, the sealing cord must be fixed with sealing cord adhesive, as the binding components in the adhesive film decompose at approximately 80 °C to 100 °C.

Clean the surface beforehand of any old sealing cord residue and adhesive. Cut the stove seal to size and then press it into place. You can immediately resume heating safely and worry-free.
