Why does a chimney draw "the wrong way around"? A kitchen extractor hood or a toilet ventilator pulls flue gases from the chimney into the living space. This must not happen and must be prevented. People must not be put at risk. The Firing Ordinance (FeuV § 4 Installation of Fireplaces) stipulates that when a room-air-dependent fireplace (e.g. fireplace, wood-burning stove, gas boiler) and exhaust air fans (e.g. extractor hood) are operated simultaneously in a dwelling/house, it must be ensured that no carbon monoxide is drawn out of the fireplace. As soon as an exhaust air system is switched on, negative pressure develops in the enclosed room. Pressure equalization may then only occur through the inflow of fresh air from outside, and not via the fireplace. This is reliably ensured by the exhaust air safety switch, since the extractor hood only starts operating once the window has been opened. The window contact switch with radio transmission can easily be retrofitted. No cable needs to be installed afterwards. Quickly and simply, you are protected from the extractor hood drawing harmful flue gases out of your fireplace or wood-burning stove. The outdoor antenna is already included and installed. Simply install the radio receiver as a plug-in adapter between the socket and the extractor hood, and attach the window monitor (transmitter + magnetic contact) to the window. The exhaust air system will now only switch on once the magnetic contact on the window has been interrupted, i.e. once the window has been opened or tilted. This radio safety switch is, of course, DIBt-certified (DIBt approval no. Z-85.2-5). Low susceptibility to interference thanks to adjustable radio frequencies. High reliability thanks to microprocessor technology in the control unit acting as receiver, and in the window monitor.
